Volunteer: Teen Advisory Board (Grades 6-12) @ Fishers LibraryTeen Advisory Board (TAB) is the pulse of the teen community at the library. TAB members’ positive thoughts and ideas are heavily relied upon to create appropriate and engaging programs for teens. TAB members might be asked to weigh in on any topic that relates to library service for teens. Each month, volunteers choose to work on projects with the Events Committee or the Social Media Committee during the TAB meeting. Teens receive volunteer time for participating in monthly meetings. Volunteers must be enrolled in grades 6-12. Teen Advisory Board volunteers must live within one of the four townships comprising the Hamilton East Public Library district (Fall Creek, Delaware, Noblesville, or Wayne) or attend a school within the library district. Current volunteer opportunities: CHOICE FOOD PANTRY: Volunteer to sort incoming grocery donations or shop alongside a Care Center guest in the pantry. THRIFT STORE: Volunteer to sort incoming thrift donations or work inside the Thrift Store on register or customer service. REFERRAL SERVICES: Volunteer to mentor a family through their current circumstances, providing encouragement and accountability. ENGLISH CLASSES: Volunteer to help students with learning English as a second language. Serve as a teacher's assistant with various tasks. CARE CENTER WAREHOUSE: Volunteer to help sort and organize incoming donations for the Choice Food Pantry & Grace Thrift Store.
