Volunteer: Volunteer for the Carmel Marathon with HeroHut & SERVE VillageSERVE Village is partnering with Hero Hut as they host their hospitality event at the Carmel Marathon. Hero Hut exists so every American Veteran can feel a sense of connectedness, support and hope after service. There are estimated to be over 6,000 runners at the 16th Carmel Marathon this year. It is the second largest marathon in Indiana and a top qualifying event for the Boston Marathon. Please join us on Sunday, May 31st as we provide 2000+ meals and Veteran resources/activation space. 2 shifts: 7-10am and 9:30am-1pm Each shift will need: *5 cooks - we'll be making pancakes on griddles and sausage *20 General volunteers to help as needed with the event, directing people, cleaning up tables, being a "gopher" for things on site, etc. Volunteers will meet at the Hero Hut - breakfast tent - video link attached to the area. We will begin cooking around 7:15a. If anyone is able to come around 6:30, a few extra hands to prep are appreciated. This is also an opportunity to learn more about other events that Hero Hut runs - Fishers Freight (May 16th), Spark Fishers, Indy Fuel, Geist Half Marathon and more. The Peony Path Initiative is an invitation to join hands in celebrating the beauty and spirit of Noblesville. By contributing to this, we are cultivating connections and practicing the hospitality that makes our city special. The timing ahead of the Indiana Peony Festival provides a natural moment to prepare as a community to welcome visitors with the intention of showcasing the beauty of the community we are all lucky enough to call home. Join us as we work on various Neighborhood and Ally Beautification projects in the downtown area of Noblesville. When: Friday, April 24 5-8pm Saturday, April 25 9am-12pm & 1-4pm Where: Check-In at Seminary Park. All projects are within walkable distance. Who: Help us do a little spring cleaning in and around downtown Noblesville. Projects are for all ages and abilities. You'll pick projects and be assigned at Check-in at Seminary Park. WHY: To come together in the spirit of community to offer our best “Hoosier Hospitality” as we welcome the guests who visit our neighborhoods for the Indiana Peony Festival!
