Help Create a Space Where Curiosity Comes to Life
Rather than teaching traditional lessons, you'll facilitate an open STEM lab once a week, on Thursdays, where students can build, experiment, and explore at their own pace. As a Learning Guide (what we call our volunteer teachers), you'll supervise the room, answer questions, encourage problem-solving, and help students think through challenges while they discover how science, technology, engineering, and math connect to the real world.
Students ages 8-15 will:
- Develop critical thinking skills
- Learn collaboration
- Engage in real-world problem-solving.
Whether you're an experienced homeschool parent, a retired educator, a college student, or simply someone who enjoys encouraging children, we'd love to help you find a place to serve. We provide curriculum, lesson plans, supplies, training, and ongoing support. Background check required.
